Can you freeze almond milk?
Yes, you can freeze almond milk, but its texture will change significantly upon thawing. Freezing extends almond milk’s shelf life for up to 3 months. Pour almond milk into ice cube trays or freezer-safe container leaving room for expansion.
When thawed, the water and almond fats separate, leaving the milk with a grainy, separated appearance that isn’t ideal for drinking straight. However, thawed almond milk works perfectly well in baked goods, cooked oatmeal, soups, and smoothies. To improve texture after thawing, shake the container vigorously or pulse the milk in a blender.
