Does coconut milk have calcium?
Plain, natural coconut milk straight from coconut meat contains very little natural calcium—only about 15 to 20 milligrams per cup, which is roughly 2% of the daily recommended intake.
However, many store-bought carton coconut milks sold in dairy aisles are fortified with calcium carbonate or tricalcium phosphate. These fortified varieties often provide around 300 to 450 milligrams of calcium per cup, matching or exceeding the calcium content of cow’s milk. If you rely on coconut milk for dietary calcium, check the nutrition facts panel to confirm it is fortified.
